I think too much! (Or maybe not...)

The word of God is not bound! It is living and active! In have determined myself to know nothing but Christ and Him crucified on Calvary, which has set free my soul for eternity. Beyond this, I know only what scripture says. My knowledge of the Bible has been marred by the interpretations of others. I know, in many cases, only what fellow believers understand a passage to mean, and my own understanding therefore is compromised by theirs. Christians today have generally accepted concepts of heaven, hell, God, etc. that truly only amount to the interpretations of men. Not that interpretation is bad, but too often we (or at least I) try to logically assess a situation in which logic and human understanding have no place. God’s ways and thoughts are higher than ours, and He confounds human wisdom with “foolish” and “weak” things. We humans tend to leave metaphorical fingerprints on everything we “touch” in life. I would sorely have liked to been given a time before joining the Christian community for the purpose of learning the scriptures, untainted and untouched by all hands but those that are shaping me into the image of Christ, in which my Father finds no fault but glory to His name. May God be glorified in me through Christ Jesus forever and ever! Amen!
